LWML (Lutheran Women’s Missionary League):

Projects which fall under the LWML umbrella are collecting aluminum can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House in Fort Worth, collecting devotional materials, personal and baby items for the Ark-La-Tex Crisis Pregnancy Center, gifting newborn babies in the congregation; providing the reception and gifts for the confirmands each year; sponsoring Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child for the Christmas shoe boxes; and conducting special ingatherings for area charitable organizations.    Also, the group hosts an annual Ladies’ Christmas Party and makes up baskets for the special members of the congregation (the ill, nursing home residents, or housebound members).  “Mites” are collected for international and district mission projects at monthly meetings and from the congregation on the first Sunday of the month.  Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month September through May at 9:30 a.m.  All women are invited to join.
